The History Boys

Last night we went to Aylesbury Odeon to see ‘The History Boys‘.

So, first the venue – what a difference to the Uxbridge Odeon! We were able to book Executive Seats for a pound extra each, and they were big, comfy and towards the front of the theatre. Ideal, Holmes :-)

The film was quite simply brilliant. Possibly the best film I’ve seen this year. It was written by Alan Bennett. Ever since I saw his ‘Talking Heads’ series I’ve been keen :-) The film was intelligent, funny and very moving. It invites you to think, which seems to be such an unusual thing these days. I was reminded of The Dead Poets Society.

As Cuddly Ken would say ‘see it and you’ll simply die of pleasure!’
