Eating at The Kings Head in Gosfield

Last Sunday we finally went to the Kings Head in Gosfield – we’ve been staying nearby all this week. My goodness, why did we wait so long? It was fabulous!

We had roast dinner, which was just excellent in every respect. Starters, roast dinner and pudding cost about £45 for the two of us, including soft drinks. So, a bit pricey, but well worth it :-)

We were so impressed that we went back today (Monday) for lunch, and again it was just excellent. Ruth’s main course was rather 3-D (it was quite tall, what with the turkey escalopes balanced atop the potatoes dauphinoise and finely chopped courgettes). I had a gorgeous salad of sun dried tomatoes and lettuce with balsamic dressing with my mushroom lasagne. Today’s bill was about £40.

All the food was delicious, the service was equally good and the dining room is a very attractive place to be, with wood panelling and a conservatory style roof.

Well worth a visit if you’re in the area :-)
