Midland Mainline Trains
I have to report that I’m extremely impressed with Midland Mainline Trains. I had to travel from London to Nottingham last Friday evening, so I booked a ticket on The Train Line. I wasn’t sure until I arrived at St. Pancras station and I retrieved my ticket from the machine, but it turns out that I had a First Class ticket, and all for just £20.00.
First Class is excellent. It was a relaxing and enjoyable experience. There are only 3 seats across the width of the carriage, 2 on one side of the aisle, one on the other. So, I had more than enough room.
Shortly after we left London we were offered complementary copies of the London Evening Standard. At various points the helpful train chaps gave us free snacks, soft drinks and a baby bottle of wine.
So, all in all a very pleasant way to travel. And a total bargain for 20 quid
Heartily recommended
