The BBC have updated their web home page, and up in the top right hand corner of the page is a small flash animation of the classic BBC clock.

I’d completely forgotten what a stylish piece of design the clock is. Check out the movement of the second hand – there’s a little bounce as the hand settles after each second. I also love the ultra-clean look of the gradually heavier number marks around the face.

A design classic revived – thank goodness
