Orange Rant

It’s 22:15 on Saturday night.

I’ve spent the entire evening at home, waiting for a replacement Nokia 6600 handset from Orange.

I just telephoned the Orange Customer Disservice line to enquire why I hadn’t seen the phone exchange person, given that the promised delivery slot was between 18:00 and 22:00 tonight.

It seems that the courier visited at 18:11 and was unable to get my old phone, so aborted the entire call.

The reason they couldn’t get my old phone is because they didn’t bother knocking on my door or ringing my doorbell. Presumably I would have heard them if they had.

So, now, I have to pay Orange £13 for the privilege of arranging another delivery!

What should be happening, of course, is that Orange should be paying me £13 for failing to turn up when they said they would.

Does anyone else remember the good old days when Orange had good customer service? It seems such a long time ago now.
